My name is Jeff Shearier. The Augsburg and Concord is my layout. I am an ordained minister with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. My love for trains and models goes back to my childhood, watching and later helping my father build model cars.
Before I was a pastor, I was a Lutheran schoolteacher. It was while I was a schoolteacher that I built my first layout. I started model railroading in HO Scale, but moved to N-Scale because of space limitations.
I have been married for just over 21 years to my childhood sweetheart, Barb. The Lord has blessed us with two children, Maggie, who is lives at home and attends the local community college and Beka, who is a senior in high school this year. My wife does in-home daycare, watching little children.
I am currently serving St. Mark Lutheran Church in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. We have been in the Northwoods since August of 1999. We purchased a home here, and plan to remain here as long as the Lord wants us to stay.
The Concept page tells the story of how I got the idea to name the railroad “The Augsburg & Concord Railroad.” Visit the E-Pass page, and receive a free E-pass memento of your visit to the ACRR.
Besides model railroading, I enjoy computers, watching NASCAR racing and baseball.
