Town of Augsburg, Illinois

Augsburg Fire Department proudly shows off their fire fighting

equipment in front of the newly refurbished fire station.

This new sign was erected shortly after the Fire Station was dedicated.

Recently, the Crusader's Christian Bookstore opened across the

street from St. Mark Lutheran School, on Church Street.

Modern Realty has been serving the Augsburg

community since 1957.

Jackie's Floral Shop provides beauty and color

to the town through her fresh cut flowers and specialty plants.

Jackie Smith takes a break from her floral shop

to take care of some laundry. It looks like a sunny day for it.

Many folks find themselves at Jeff's Auto Repair for everything from

tune-ups to major overhauls.

Dairy King is a very popular place during the summer time.

It's within walking distance of the passenger station in the background.

The opening of the 7-11 was met with great enthusiasm. Having a convenience store in the community

will be easy access to goods, even late at night.

Three Downtown businesses are directly across the street from

the Fire Department's parking lot.

The erection of the Water Tower guarantees the

city an ample fresh water supply.

David Johnson runs the local hardware business. He also repairs bicycles and scooters.

The east end of town has the Blue Note blues club, Bottoms Up tavern,

and Sue's Candy Shop.

Looking west down IL Route 29, you can see the Bottoms Up tavern with the

Fire Department in the distance.

The Chamber of Commerce was very proud to unveil this new sign welcoming

people to our fine community.
