Photo of Peter Pan taken by Ron Fisher on 12th July 2009, and used here with permission with our thanks!

Built by the Kerr, Stuart & Company California Works in Stoke, this 0-4-0ST 'Wren' Class locomotive was intended for industrial work. 167 of this 28 H.P 3.5 tonne class of locomotive were built to order. The locomotive pictured above-left is "Peter Pan" No. 4256, built in 1922, spending most of its working life in Devon. The photo above taken by Ron Fisher shows "Peter Pan" arriving back at Wicksteed Park Station for the last time on the 2009 steam weekend, before being loaded for its return journey home to Leighton Buzzard. These days "Peter Pan" travels far and wide visiting narrow-gauge locales across the United Kingdom and Europe.

For those of you interested in seeing this little loco in action, below is a clip of "Peter Pan" on a guest run on the Leadhills & Wanlockhead Railway in Lanarkshire, Scotland.
