West Regional Trail Connection Guide
This is a series of trails that connects the Minnesota River Bluffs Trail to the Lake Minnetonka Trail. It is not build on any former railbeds, but there is one part in Jonathan. This is the most basic route. I will not list bridges.

Guide Starting at Bluff Creek Drive Trailhead on MRB Trail

MP 0.00 Bluff Creek Drive. Parking, restrooms, maps.

Go down 1 mile on Chaska Hill. Most of this section is not intentionaly divided.

MP 1.00 County road 61. Hill going down and up, blind curve on road. USE CAUTION Until the trail is continued into Chaska, you have to go along 61 towards Chaska.

MP 1.27 Take a right on Engler Blvd

MP 1.61 Cross East Creek Diversion Channel and Trail.

MP 1.61 Turn onto trail entrance ramp, use caution when merging into East Creek Trail.

MP 1.69 Do not turn onto other trail. Use East Creek Trail Bypass instead.

MP 1.91 Merge back into East Creek Trail North

MP 2.28 Stay on Paved Trail, do not cross onto Gravel Trail, as you WILL end up in the middle of nowhere. You will cross East Creek Several times within the next mile or so.

MP 2.55 Stay on East Creek Trail.

MP 3.15 Stay on Main Trail. MN-41 above.

MP 3.48 US 212 Above. Now entering Jonathan.

MP 3.85 East Creek Overpass. Stay heading NOrth on East Creek Trail.

MP 3.89 Hundertmark Road Underpass.

MP 4.12 Stay on Main Trail. East Creek Trail now called Lake Grace Trail. You will go by Lake Grace. You should still be going north.

MP 4.18 Stay on Main Trail. Do not go up hill.

MP 4.54 Pioneer Trail Underpass. Stay on main Trail.

MP 4.77 Go through the trail interchange, do not go up hill

MP 4.90 Turn off Lake Grace Trail, right onto Gravel Trail.

MP 4.94 Turn left onto gravel trail.

MP 5.00 Right onto Other Gravel Trail. This is the 1876 Hastings Dakota Railbed.

MP 5.14 Turn left onto foot trail.

MP 5.16 Cross TC&W RR Trackage

MP 5.19 Turn left onto other foot trail. Then, take left onto Gravel Trail.

MP 5.52 Turn Left onto other Gravel Trail. Then take a right on the Gravel Road. Then left onto other Gravel Trail.

MP 5.78 Take left on Gravel Trail. Trail becomes paved.

MP 6.46 Take a right onto Bavaria Road Trail. Stay on Bavaria Road Trail.

MP MP 8.00 Turn left onto 86th St.

MP MP 8.44 Turn Right on Kochia Lane.

MP 8.78 Take a Left onto County 18.

MP 9.45 Turn right onto County 11. Stay on it until trail. Cross MN-5

I will continue to investigate shorter routes.
