John Marvig Railroad Bridge Photography
Welcome to John Marvig Bridge photography!

News Section

I am going to be working very hard over the coming months to shift my website to a new domain, and start redoing old pages.

UPDATE
The new website is progressing along nicely. I have all of Iowa and Illinois done, Minnesota started and Wisconsin to come (5-1-13)
I have stopped producing pages for this old site as well. All information on this site is no longer guarunteed, although most of it is accurate.
Here is a countdown clock to the expected opening date of September 1st 2013.

Hello, my name is John Marvig, and I am a High School Student. I live in suburbs, just west of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I created this site to inform the general public about some of the midwest's railroad bridges, and the history of some of these rail lines. From the oldest to the youngest bridge, from the smallest to the largest bridge, I love to photograph them!
Right now, I have Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, some Illinois and Grand Forks, ND but look for South Dakota and North Dakota in the coming months.
Feel free to look around. My Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin bridges are organized by county, and then city.
I have added a glossary of terms and an about this website page below as well, as well as a bridge search program for bridges on this site.
To find out more about why I run this, check out the About This Website page below.
Thanks for looking, and enjoy the photos!

As these trips become increasingly lengthy, and more time is spent on the road, the cost escalates quickly. If you appreciate what I am doing, please consider giving a small donation towards my cause. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated to help cover the cost of gas, hotels, time and wear on my vehicle. I look forward to continuing to bring you high class photography of historically significant structures.
(Note this is not a tax-deductible donation)
